Missing a few things to make it 5 stars.

This is a great backpack. Probably one of the best I've ever used. But it's missing some small features that would take this to the next level. 1. I really with this bag had a trolly pass through. When traveling with this bag and a suitcase, it would be so nice to slide this bag over the luggage handles. Instead you're left with trying to buckle the straps together, and that's okay but the trolly pass through would have been soooo much better. 2. I wish the laptop pocket had some sort of closure. It could be a Velcro strap, magnets, or a snap. Either way, once my laptop is in the bag the pocket kind of flops open and I end up dropping stuff in my bag that fall behind the laptop.

Not good for a frequent-access bag, but a good bag!

This is a pretty comfortable bag, it gets compliments for its looks, and it's held up pretty well. I've found that this design is really inconvenient for carrying things that you need to access frequently, though. I use it for school and find myself feeling a constant, mild annoyance when trying to get my stuff into and out of this bag. The fact that you have to open it via a three-sided zippered flap is my main complaint. The opening to the main body of the bag is slightly too narrow to be efficient, and the fact that the flap covering this opening has zippered pouches on either side means that it gets really clunky really fast. I have a 14inch laptop that I keep in a protective sleeve with its charger, and a standard 5-subject college rule notebook that I carry around in this thing. The opening is just wide enough that both of these items drag along the edges of the zipper when you're trying to take them out, which is super fun when you're in the library, and this is after you've done three unzips to access the main compartment. The side pouches also don't really hold any water bottles larger than 16fl oz. I've managed to jam a 24oz in there once or twice with some difficulty and it very shortly thereafter fell out. Somehow this bag has managed both to be very bulky and take up a lot of space while not effectively holding what I need to carry around throughout the day, so I end up looking downright goofy having this huge backpack and an armful of the things I couldn't fit into it because it's shaped weirdly. It's not like the bag is nonfunctional, but it feels like it's a bit of a process to get to whatever you need in this bag, and it's annoying! It's a minor annoyance, but it happens constantly all the time every day and it starts to kind of just become a pain to have to readjust constantly to get things in and out of your bag. I think this would be an awesome bag for traveling, hiking, or carrying a lot of stuff that you won't need to access frequently throughout the day, but as a school bag I'm pretty dissatisfied, which sucks because it was expensive, it is really comfortable, and I like how it looks. Functionally, though, I've found it hasn't worked well for me over the last three-ish months I've been using it daily.

Sad

As a big fan of the Hatchet, I currently own 14 hatchets ??, I decided to ask for another one for my birthday. I occasionally look online to see if new color way was introduced. I was disappointed to see how boring the colors had become. Then i saw the Sego Canyon color and thought id try that color out. I received the bag and was so disappointed to find out that the felt lining was gone from the organizer panel as well as the tablet sleeve that I religiously used. The little carabiner clip too was gone. Why remove these great features? The material felt cheaper. Im glad to have the older Hatchets and going forward i wont be purchasing this new version.

Great Except for the Water Bottle sleeves on each side

I love using this for travel. It fits a ton. The main issue I always have is the water bottle holders on each side. They don't stretch out to fit the bottle, they cut away the inner backpack space. So basically if your backpack is full width wise, your water bottle is likely not going to fit. It's been a huge issue for me, but I love everything else about this.

Fun, but not big enough for 2 water bottles and school books

This is a great bag, but the they clearly didn't try putting two 20oz stainless steel water bottles, a binder, and multiple notebooks/text books in the main body of the bag. The bag needs to be wider to accommodate the multiple binders and text books that a high school student carries, in addition to reusable water bottles. Most of us don't carry those narrow disposable water bottles anymore.

Not for everybody.

I use this bag for traveling. Backpacks are more accessible to maneuver than traditional carry-ons. I like the two bottle pouches, one on each side (water/coffee), plus the right side pouch has an additional zipper pocket. This is a white bag, and the upkeep may become annoying. A quick fix that Jansport should have thought about was putting the material they use for their name tag on the front of the bag and using the same material at the bottom of the bag keeping the bag cleaner.

Not functional but cute

I used this for school, had a hard time fitting binders. Water bottle compartment ripped from main body. Overall too small to fit adequate school supplies. Always struggled to get water bottle in after fitting school items I side body of backpack. Loved the style but not functional.

Great bag

This bag looks and feels great! Seems well constructed. Love the colors, even the white interior. It has ice axe loops, but no upper straps, but I'm using this as more of an urban bag.
